Month in Review: October 2022

Here are all the changes we made in October, 2022, including new templates, dbt, and various important updates.

Use Cases Available for All Stacks with Queue v2

We previously announced the availability of Templates (Use Cases) on the Azure North Europe stack. We are now enabling them for all stacks with Queue v2.

dbt Is Now Available Too

We are pleased to let you know that dbt features are available for new projects in the Azure NE stack. You can use them without any need to provide the resources yourself. Read the announcement or check out our documentation.

New Templates

Templates for Advertising Platforms

With this end-to-end flow you can bring into Keboola Connection data from one or more marketing channels of your choice (Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and Bing Ads). After all the necessary tasks are performed on the data, you load the results into a Snowflake database, a BigQuery database, or a Google sheet, or you can use the Keboola provided Snowflake database. Also, you can enrich the data with Google Analytics.

Project Metadata to DataHub template

The DataHub use case template provides a one-click setup of an end-to-end flow for populating Keboola metadata into a DataHub data catalog. This includes extracting data from both the Telemetry and Metadata source components before transforming it so you can calculate table properties and lineage. You can choose whether to include schemas, properties, or tags from the DataHub destination component.

Minor UI Updates

  • We updated the export table workflow. It is now possible to check for previous exports when exporting a table. Also, the export is processed in the background and the UI will let you know once it is done via a simple notification.
  • It is now possible to select an entire phase when choosing tasks to retry on a failed job.

New Components

  • Deepnote Notebook Trigger – read the announcement here.

Other Updates

  • A new version of Keboola CLI has been released. Version v2.10.0 adds support for various workspace-related commands (create, detail, list, and delete).
  • The default Python transformation and workspace run on Python 3.10.4 (previous default was 3.9.9).
