Data Gateway Billing Reverted to Time-Based — Lower Costs for 90% of Customers

Snowflake Workspaces: Transition from Password Authentication
New Snowflake workspaces will require Key Pair authentication starting March 31, 2026. Existing password-authenticated workspaces continue working but should be migrated before Snowflake's deprecation completes in October 2026.
Data Gateway Billing Changed to Volume-Based
Data Gateway component jobs (data writes) are now billed by data volume (0.2 PPU/GB) instead of runtime, matching the Snowflake Writer billing. Job runs in January are free.
