Important Updates: Snowflake Access and Writer Changes
On December 4, we’ll be releasing a few updates related to the planned Snowflake Workspace Access Changes
Introducing Data Gateway Component
The Data Gateway component is now available, allowing you to share data with third-party BI tools via a read-only Snowflake schema. This component uses Key Pair authentication and is the recommended solution for connecting BI tools for projects using Keboola's shared database.
Introducing Snowflake SQL Workspace Key-pair Migration Tool
We’re excited to introduce a new tool that simplifies migration process from password to the more secure Key-pair authentication within Snowflake SQL workspaces. It enhances security and allows you to be prepared for Snowflake’s future deprecation of the single-factor password authentication.
Snowflake Workspaces and Authentication Changes Coming in 2025
Earlier this year, we announced changes for Keboola customers using the Snowflake backend. With Snowflake’s recent updates, we’ve prepared a refreshed timeline of the most impactful changes to your experience.
Data Warehouse Manager (DWHM) Key Pair Support
We are adding Key Pair support to the Data Warehouse Manager (DWHM) component.
Telemetry Update: Flow ID and Name in KBC Job Table
We’re updating how Flow ID and Name are displayed in the table of Keboola Jobs, making it easier for users to analyze the usage of entire Flows.
Introducing new Snowflake SQL workspaces supporting Key Pair authentication
With upcoming changes in the Snowflake authentication policies, we are adding new PERSON type Snowflake SQL workspaces, which are supporting SSO and KEY PAIR authentication.
Deprecation of SQL Workspace Unload Data Feature
We are deprecating the unused Unload Data feature for SQL Workspaces. This change should not impact any users and does not affect the general functionalities of the Keboola platform.
