Sending API Tokens via Email Will Be Removed on February 4, 2027
For security reasons, we are removing the option to send Storage API tokens by email. It stays available until February 4, 2027.
We would like to inform you that the Send via email option for Storage API tokens is deprecated. It will be removed from the UI and the API on February 4, 2027.
What is changing
- The Send via email action disappears from the token list, the token detail and the screen shown after a token is created.
- The API endpoint
POST /v2/storage/tokens/{id}/sharewill be removed. - A token is shown only once, when it is created. To get a new value, refresh the token; the old value stops working immediately.
Why the change?
The option can send a token to any email address, including one outside your organization. Every API call made with that token is then attributed to the token, not to the person who actually uses it, so access to your data can no longer be traced to a specific person. Removing the option closes this security gap.
