Branched Storage is being enabled on all projects

We are finishing rollout of feature called Branched Storage on all projects and stacks. There might be some exceptions, which will be communicated to you directly.

Starting Monday, November 2, 2026, we are enabling Branched Storage on all stacks. Development branches will get their own isolated storage, so working in a branch no longer affects production data. This works on both Snowflake and BigQuery.

What changes for you: new buckets and tables created in a development branch are isolated from production and from other branches. Existing branch buckets created before the migration stay visible to production and other branches.

We are rolling it out stack by stack. A small number of projects that still use processed tags or processed queries will be skipped for now, and we will contact their owners separately. Branched Storage is a prerequisite for the new branches (Branches 2.0, including merge requests and reviews). It has been tested for a long time, including on a large number of multi-tenant projects, and the impact on existing projects is minimal. If you have any concerns or run into a problem, please contact your account executive.
